Founded by maestro Vítor Santos in the 1990s, the group is today revitalized as a platform dedicated to chamber music.

In this concert at the Celeiro there will be a wind quintet composed by professors from the Academy of Music of Alcobaça, also marking the 35th anniversary of the resurgence of the Banda de Alcobaça.

On Monday 14, at 9 pm, the pianist and composer Daniel Bernardes will perform in the Refectory of the Monastery of Alcobaça accompanied by the Choir Ricercare for the absolute debut of the work “Beethoven… Reminiscências”.

The concert is the result of a commission from the Centro Cultural de Belém and the Cistermúsica Festival on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the birth of the German composer and explores several songs by Beethoven transformed by the personal memory of the musician in various forms and solidified in new compositions. The project also has the musical direction of Pedro Moreira. Pedro Teixeira conducts the choir.
