The municipalities of Leiria and Porto de Mós have recorded two deaths each in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths associated with Covid-19 in the Leiria region to 131 since the start of the pandemic.
At the same time, 104 other positive cases were diagnosed in the district of Leiria and the commune of Ourém, Leiria standing out with 38 new cases. There are also new records in Pombal (16), Porto de Mós (11), Marinha Grande (10), Caldas da Rainha (9), Peniche (7), Batalha (6), Ourém (4), Bombarral ( 2) and Nazaré (1).
The recoveries were very close to this number and 103 cured patients were reported, including 50 in the municipality of Leiria. In Caldas da Rainha they collected 15, in Pombal 12, Marinha Grande 11, Porto de Mós eight, Bombarral three, Nazaré three and Batalha one.
The total of cases accumulated since March is on Tuesday at 6,449 and recoveries at 4,690. Active cases are set at 1,628 (three less than yesterday).

As of yesterday, Portugal has recorded 81 additional deaths from complications associated with Covid-19, bringing the total number of deaths recorded since the start of the pandemic to 5,122.

More than half (44) occurred in the North region, followed by the Lisbon region and the Tagus Valley with 22 deaths, the Center region with 13 and the Alentejo and Azores with one each.
The Directorate General of Health (DGS) also reports, in its daily bulletin, more than 2,905 cases of infection, but it is the cures that play a more important role in the current daily assessment, 6,585.
The number of confirmed cases today stands at 327,976, recoveries at 252,428 and active cases at 70,426, or 3,761 less than yesterday.
Today, 3,263 patients are hospitalized (104 fewer than yesterday), including 499 in intensive care (14 fewer).
