There are more recoveries than infections. Today, 186 more patients have recovered from the disease and 102 have tested positive. However, it is the deaths associated with Covid-19 that are highlighted in the latest report presented by health authorities and municipalities, ten.
The municipality of Leiria has six of the 10 confirmed deaths, bringing the total number of deaths linked to the infection to 40 since the start of the pandemic. It is the municipality with the most deaths in the region of Leiria.
There is also a change in mortality data in the municipalities of Batalha, with two more deaths, and in Pombal and Porto de Mós, with one in each municipality.
With 6,551 cases confirmed since March in the region of Leiria (district of Leiria and municipality of Ourém), 1,534 people remain with the active disease. 94 less than yesterday (where the ten deaths are included).

In the past 24 hours, 102 positive cases have been recorded. Leiria is the one with the highest incidence, with 33 cases, followed by Ourém and Caldas da Rainha with 15 each.
Ten other cases of infection were recorded in Porto de Mós. It is recalled that last Friday, the 4, Jorge Vala, the mayor of the municipality, confirmed the existence of an epidemic at the home of the Cruz da Légua Welfare Association, in the parish of Pedreiras, with 19 infected people. A second round of testing was carried out earlier this week, so some of the new cases detected in the past three days in the municipality (23) may be linked to this outbreak.
The new cases of infection also explain the results of Marinha Grande (8), Pombal (6), Batalha (6), Peniche (5), Bombarral (2) and Castanheira de Pera (2).
Among the recoveries reported by the health authorities and the municipalities, Pombal appears in first place with 64 patients no longer having an active infection, which makes it possible, for the first time in many days, to drop the two hundred cases in the commune. Leiria scores 47 recoveries and Alcobaça 30. Ourém has 15 more, Marinha Grande ten, Caldas das Rainha and Porto de Mós plus seven each, Batalha five and in Peniche another patient overcame the disease.
