Maritime pulley seizes illegal fish in São Martinho do Porto – Leiria region


The maritime police detected an illegal fishing vessel and seized, in São Martinho do Porto, in the municipality of Alcobaça, three nets totaling 400 meters and around 60 kilos of fish.

The vessel was detected during a surveillance operation carried out between 6.30 p.m. Thursday and 10.45 a.m. today and, according to a statement from the National Maritime Authority, “it was hiding lights in the night arch, with fishing gear not authorized or signaled and in the exercise of a fishing activity at an unauthorized time ”.

The seized fish was auctioned off, the value of which was charged to the process, and the corresponding report was made.
