Portuguese and Argentinian music this Thursday at the José Lúcio da Silva Theater – Leiria Region


The Music in Leiria festival offers the city another concert this Thursday, December 10: Ana Bela Chaves and Fernando Altube will perform at the Teatro José Lúcio da Silva, where Portuguese and Argentinian music will be heard for violets and piano.

Ana Bela Chaves, first violet soloist of the Philharmonic and Gulbenkian orchestras of Lisbon, is today one of the most prestigious Portuguese performers, with several performances as soloist of some of the most prestigious international orchestras.

Fernando Altube, meanwhile, is a pianist, composer, conductor and teacher and has a long history in his musical career that has brought him to live with different cultures in cities around the world.

The program includes works by António Victorino D’Almeida, Fernando S. Altube, Luís de Freitas Branco and Astor Piazzolla.

Entrance to the concert organized by Orfeão de Leiria is free and depends on the capacity of the hall. Tickets can only be picked up today, up to 30 minutes prior, with delivery of non-perishable food or hygiene items.
