Six other people have died from infection with the new coronavirus in the Leiria region. As of yesterday, two more deaths have been reported in Peniche, the municipalities of Alcobaça, Leiria, Marinha Grande and Porto de Mós registering one more each.
The total number of deaths associated with Covid-19 stands at 127 on Monday, which corresponds to a mortality rate of 2%.
During the last 24 hours, 97 positive cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection and 97 recoveries were also recorded in the district of Leiria and the commune of Ourém, so that the total of active cases (1631 ) today only suffers a decrease (minus six) due to registered deaths.
Ourém recorded the highest number of positive diagnoses (22), followed by Leiria (18), Caldas da Rainha (15), Pombal (12), Peniche (10), Alcobaça and Bombarral (five each), Marinha Grande (four ), Batalha and Porto de Mós (two each) and Nazaré and Óbidos (one each).

With 97 additional new cases, the total number of confirmed infections since the start of the pandemic now stands at 6,345.
Of the 97 patients recovered since yesterday, 41 have “left” in Leiria, 24 in Peniche and 20 in Marinha Grande. Recovers were also reported in Caldas da Rainha (7), Pombal (4) and Óbidos (1).
